Skipper Of Reverses

Skipper of Reverses was recorded at Club Shmed Studios in Missoula, Montana during 2008 and 2009. Unlike the previous 4 Volumen records, much of the material was created in the studio. The rough concept for this record was "Classic Rock from the Future". Although, perhaps more appropriately it would be "Classic Rock from an Alternate Future". This alternate future would be a place where classic rock from the seventies consisted of early Devo, XTC and Brian Eno.
Since I, Volumen-1, can say without impunity that I am an expert of all things Volumen. Believe me when I tell you that this is the best thing we've ever done. You can't argue. I've been studying us for 13 years. Seriously. Stop arguing!

Designed by Josh Quick, these shirts are just about the coolest thing in the world. That's right, way cooler than Leonard Cohen and I bet that guy even eats Cheerios in an Armani suit.

They come in one color, the only color that matters... BLACK. None more BLACK!

The cool thing is that each animal robot is numbered and then the number corresponds to a Volumen cartoon character on the back of the shirt.

The design on the front is set down in the lower left corner because that's just cooler. Yup.

Blue Hoodies? Blue Hoodies? If you are like me, then you didn't even realize that hoodies came in a color other than black. I'm coveting these things like crazy right now. But, we only have Small and Medium sizes at this time. So, I sit there, with my large cheese pizza and mug of beer, drooling over something which I won't be able to wear... stupid delicious pizza and beer.

To call Bacon and Egg a Volumen side project doesn't do them justice. Sure, Volumen Beta, Volumen Bkawck and Volumen Squared are all sportin' the Bling, but Bacon and Egg is much more than that.

They are dope beats, subsonic church organ and wicked rhymes (a la Kurtis Blow and Whodini).

Oh yeah, imagine it from the perspective of a gold-plated crustacian on a chain.

These bad boys are brand spanking new!! They were unveiled for our Sonic Infection tour in April. The ink looks white in the above picture, but it's actually pink. Check it out, pink is the new black, yo!

Woah. I didn't realize that these weren't for sale on the site yet. Even if you already have the Sonic Infection tour shirt in black, you need this one. There is no printing on the back, but a cool cityscape on the right hand side.

This is a good place to note that all Sonic Infection shirts were designed by Andy Smetanka, Josh Vanek and Volumen. Screened by the same.

We made these shirts in preparation for our "Babies, Mortgages and Bryan" tour. The picture on the shirt is of a nuclear reactor that we saw in Lithuania while we were there on tour. It was literally a stones through from a flea market we were checking out. Heavy.
