Richland is one of our favorite places in the world to play....quite possibly numero uno on the list. Our first show there, some years back, was to only about a dozen kids. It ended up being an amazing show though...despite the poor attendance. Other highlights from previous Richland shows included a homemade cake, hours of videogaming, and autograph sessions. This time around the kids didn't let us down. They finally have the perfect set up for a town the size of Richland. Actually...Ray's Golden Lion is probably better than anything we have in Missoula right now. It's all ages and they serve beer.....hoooray! I tell ya, that really makes for a good time. No one rocks better than teenagers, and us older folks like to imbibe some of that liquor we been hearin' bout naw. Oh shit I almost forgot...we nearly died on the way to this show. Half way to Richland from Spokane, we encountered some showers. Not your normal rinky dink showers though friend....these were fuckin' insane. Our windshield wipers couldn't keep the rain off fast enough. We couldn't see two feet in front of us. So wisely we pulled off the road. Unfortunately we stopped with the Ambulance leaning to the side. Instantly water started gushing in from the driver side where Doug was sitting. We seriously spent twenty minutes with little cups of water, bailing out the van. Actually the other doods bailed us out....I was too busy drinking my Slurpee and doin' the crossword puzzle. Anyhow...it wasn't until the next day that we heard about the funnel clouds that had touched down right in the area where we were stranded. Geez!
