Friday July 28th: Minot, ND @ the Liberty Tavern
This was a pretty bizarre show. We played in what was pretty much an abandoned bar that had been turned into a youth center. It seemed like there were punk rockers squatting all over the place, living in broken down cars and such. It was hot as blue blazes and they had to keep the doors closed for some reason that baffles me. Ugh.. it was wicked. We went all out rockwise. We played with 2 local bands. The first band had the kid who put the show on in it and they were sorta just jammin around. Pretty good. The next band was our worst bad experience on tour. American Evil was their name. They had these huge heads and complained about paying first because "We're not a good opening band". What the fuck does that mean? When they got done, even though there were time restraints, they all had to take a smoke break (apparently cause they had "rocked so hard"). Fawck. We just moved their equipment for them, set up, and rocked their sorry asses. I think a band played after us and they were doing all covers, I was too loopy to be noticing. We sold tons of shit to young rockin kids. Pictures are coming soon. |
