Canada!

Once we were finished with brunch and we said our goodbyes...it was time to head to Canada. It's a pretty short drive to the border from Bellingham. When we made it to the border, we had to check in with customs and do the usual red tape B.S. After spending about an hour waiting for our turn and ironing out a few loose ends...we were off. It's weird once your over the border, how many subtle changes there are. Everything is metric and French! The drive to Vancouver was also a short one. It's a pretty awesome city...all the skyscrapers have the same design which makes it look very futuristic. We drove around the city awhile, looking for the club. As we were pulling up to the club, we noticed a lot of craziness happening across the street. There were butt loads of teens hanging outside of this record store. Now I know what you're thinking...it wasn't for us...nor was it for Celene Dion...apparently Sum 41 was doing some sort of record signing. Any ways the club wasn't opened yet, so we walked around town looking for food. We happened upon a pretty good sushi joint...very cheap! After dinner we headed to the Picadilly Pub where we were scheduled to play that Sunday evening. After entering we met the band we were going to play with...a very friendly and fun band named The Salteens. They were super hospitable...right off the bat they let us know that they got us a place to stay. They're style of music was right up my alley...very poppy...great harmonies etc. There was a pretty decent turnout for a Sunday show. After the show we hung out with the band for awhile and listened to em' tell these magical stories about how the Canadian government supports it's local artists and musicians. This band was payed by the government to record and tour. What a deal! USA schmooSA. Once again there's a ton of photos!
