DAY 3 - ENTRY 1
It took a lot of motivating to get us to leave the cabin this afternoon. Bob made a sumtuous breakfast buffet. Meusli, yogurt, eggs, porcini mushrooms, sausages and other sundry items and breads. Ahhhh... this is exactly what I had envisioned when I pictured this tour. It could all go to shit and these 2 days would carry us, I think.
Anyway, on the way back to Helsinki, we stopped at Raseborg. It's the ruins of a fort that dates back at least until the 14th century. It was friggin' awesome. Here's a picture.
The club that we are playing at is called Stellastar. It's rad... friggin' mirrors everywhere. Here's a pic.
It looks like we are playing with at least 4 other bands. One is a 70's funk DJ and one is a rap band. It should be a goodtime. Andy is trying to help us with our Finnish... Bryan is doing the best. We've got down cheers, hello, good show, good night, excuse me, thank you and, of couse, beer.
NEW: Here's another picture of raseborg. Dang was that place bitchin. Petteri found a quarterstaff and did the "None shall pass" bit from the Holy Grail. Heh...
We didn't get many other pictures at Stellastar. I think after 8 hours in the bar, waiting to play, that we all went a little nuts inside. |
