09/08/2003 Guess where we are?
You?ll never get it. We are in Tartu, Estonia, sure. That's easy. You might even know that we are at the Varjend club. Ok. But... guess what Varjend means?
Yup... it's bomb shelter. This club is a converted bomb shelter. It's pretty damn awesome.
Roland is the guy who owns the club. He came and met us with the lovely Jane. They took us to a really nice restaurant and Roland told us that Jane will show us around and take us to where we?ll be staying. The dinner was awesome. It was all taken care of in advance, we just sat down and food appeared. They also took care of our accomodations. We?re staying at a Sport School... or basically, it's like a giant YMCA where athletes can train. We have a room with 5 bunk beds right next to the girl's showers. Bob is buying power drills and digging tunnels as we speak.
The hopitality is blowing us all away. Roland is a great host! His band is playing right now. They are calld Nyrok City. They are wicked heavy. I can't remember the name of the first band, but they were good pop punk. Lemme tell you, being at a rock show inside of a bomb shelter is hot and loud.... as hell.
Heh... anyway, we?re all still in good spirits. Tomorrow is our day off and we're hanging out at a country house in Latvia. |
