Swirling keys all rough abrasive guitars to kick at the base of the Maypole i.e. this LP is as much part of festivity as it is reacting to it. It is jerky, percussive and has a grit and brawn that slightly tips the balance over the nerdish attention to invention that runs throughout the hour.
