Volumen^2 Bryan Hickey
Bryan "Bubbles" Hickey, as astute readers may already have surmised, is, in fact, the younger brother of Shane. Bryan’s hobbies, in declining order of the ardor he reserves for them, read as follows: All things WEEN-related, Britney Spears, WEEN, video gambling, Britney Spears and WEEN. Like the youngest Hickey brother, Colin (whose Bon Scott-like vocal prowess and resplendent Afro grace another Missoula band, the International Playboys), middle child Bryan moved to Missoula from Laramie, Wyoming to be where the rock’n’roll action was. His bass prowess is second to none, and his mild-mannered, sweetly smiling stage presence makes him a real joy to watch. And boy did we share a laugh we he revealed that he’d been dating a 14-year old.

Volumen - Science Faction (Wantage)
Swirling keys all rough abrasive guitars to kick at the base of the Maypole i.e. this LP is as much part of festivity as it is reacting to it. Prog and psyche have been suckled to produce this expansive, menacing LP that has echoes of Mars Volta and Oneida. They also play up an electro element nicely on ‘Dune?
