09/07/2003 Alive and well in Tallinn
Allrighty. We are in Von Krahl Baar in Tallinn, Estonia right now. We are a little weary, but otherwise good. I was able to fix some of the old pictures so the only broken links now are the pictures that I haven't uploaded yet. '
We had a pretty good show last night in Tampere. I have a tour entry for it, but I need to get my Zaurus online again. We played with Chainsmoker and they sounded great! The club was like a jazz club atmosphere. Sorta weird for us, but we did our duty nonetheless. Tampere is a pretty city. Boss and Andy said it seemed like Machester (only they used a single word that summed that um... damn word nerds).
Anyway, we played the show and then after rounding everyone up, Andy and I drove Volumen and Chainsmoker the 3 hours back to Helsinki. Then we slept in the Blue Beast and in Miikka's office and we up in 3 hours to make the ferry. The ferry was rad. We have pictures and video. The lounge band ruled!
Back to Estonia.
Right now Mihkel, from End Variations, is taking care of us. He showed us around Old Town. Man.... so many churches and old, old buildings. It's mind boggling to see history right in front of your face. Mihkel actually trained to be a guide of old town, so I don't think we could have had a better host. The show tonight is with JMKE, End Variations, us and a band who's name I can't spell right now because the flyer isn't right in front of me. Soisteros or something like that? I think they are ska. End Variations is like a psychedlic Joy Division, so I'm really excited for that. JMKE is one of the oldest (if not the oldest) punk band in Estonia. The show should be pretty rockin.
